Marco Mizzau is born in Rome on 27 December 1977 and he graduated in Economics Studies at the L.U.I.S.S. University in 1999. He attended several executive courses at IESE Business School of Management, Wharton University of Pennsylvania, INSEAD University, SDA Bocconi, Harvard University, MIT and Harvard Business School.

His career has been primarily focused on infrastructure, energy, and transportation, with expertise in strategic management, investments, and business performance improvement.

Throughout his professional journey, Mr. Mizzau has held top executive roles in both public and private organizations, operating in Italy and emerging markets such as Eastern Europe, Turkey, Russia, and the Middle East. With an entrepreneurial mindset, he has consistently identified development opportunities and implemented sustainable growth strategies.

As CEO of Consip, Italy’s largest public procurement platform, he oversees an annual spending volume of over €27 billion, optimizing procurement in key industries such as energy, transportation, healthcare, ICT, and facility management. Under his leadership, Consip has strengthened its strategic role in the Italian economic system, enhancing digitalization and efficiency in public spending.

Previously, as CEO of Inarcassa, one of Italy’s largest institutional investors, he managed €14 billion in assets and promoted targeted investments in physical and digital infrastructure, with a strong focus on sustainability and long-term value creation. He also played a key role in public-private partnerships, accelerating the modernization of Italy’s infrastructure.

In the healthcare and real estate sector, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital Holding, where he oversaw major investment projects such as the implementation of a cogeneration plant for energy efficiency, the expansion of the hospital facilities, and the development of advanced data management systems.

Earlier in his career, he gained extensive consulting experience, working closely with leading industrial and financial corporations and supporting CEOs and CFOs in strategic transformation and business growth initiatives.

• ARAMCO, KPC, KNPC, ADNOC, advising on financial strategy, corporate restructuring, and investment management.
• Electrabel Suez, defining joint venture models and financial standards for infrastructure investments.
• Other major Oil & Gas corporations, developing reporting frameworks and investment strategies for holding and operating companies.

His career is built on a strong academic foundation: he holds a degree in Economics with honors from LUISS Guido Carli and has completed executive programs at Harvard Business School, INSEAD, Wharton, and Bocconi.

Marco Mizzau has also developed advanced expertise in financial reporting and business intelligence, using tools such as Tagetik, Power BI, and Hyperion to support strategic planning and corporate performance management.
